Is the Chrysler 300 good on both transmission & engine performance?
I'm trying to get a 300 with a V6 (3.5) engine but i'm trying to figure out if they have any problems after 50,000 miles of driving.

I don't have a direct answer, except to say that I have friends with a 3.5 engine in an older chrysler that's been fine for them over 120k miles. I have specifically been told by my mechanic to avoid the Chrysler 2.7 V6 engine, they supposedly have trouble over 50,000 miles, or even less, and there are lots of warranty arguments about that engine, so that may be the engine you're thinking about being not so good....

That's a good V6 engine. You won't have problems with it. The transmission should be fine too. The key to FWD transmissions is to keep the fluid changed on a regular basis. Every 30,000 miles. Oil every 3,000 miles.

You should have a great car for a long time.

With proper maintenance, you should be fine.

On the performance side, my cousin has a 2006 Chrysler 300 with the 3.5L V6, and I used to walk him when I had a Scion tC (stock at the time). Now I have a M45 Sport, so he wouldn't stand a chance if he had a HEMI.

Well i think i would not be able to tell you whether it is good or bad but my suggestion for you is just contact a nearby mechanic and find out whether transmission and engine is good or bad and will it be worth if you buy it he will be the right person to guide you as he his well experienced in this field .
