Chrysler 300 transmission not shifting?
I have a 2007 chrysler 300. My motor blew so i went to the shop and they put in a 06 3.5L motor and the transmission that came with it. It worked fine for a couple of months but now it will only shift into the second gear (sometimes) but after that the rpm just goes up but the gears never shift.
I forgot to add this, I drained this transmission oil (it was low) and i put it 5 quarts of transmission oil yesterday but it still does it. |

Check the fluid level in the new transmission. Your probably 3 quarts low. And do it fast, you could destroy the transmission without having the proper level of fluid in it.

Chrysler 300 transmission not shifting?
Your motor "blew"...what exactly does that mean? How did an engine in a 3 year old car seize? Oh I forgot...chrysler.
Automatic? The torque converter is gone. Meaning...time for a new transmission. I know chryslers are bad but it might be the way you're driving this car. If you're driving it like it's stolen it's a really bad idea because it's a fairly heavy car...weight and speed tend not to mix when the parts aren't built to handle it.
