How to get my Jeep Liberty driving again?
I have a Jeep Liberty, steering wheel has locked up. Ignition is locked as well. Tried everything, but to no avail. Any ideas that could shed some light???

Your going to have to get it to someone that can take the steering column apart and see why the ignition is locked up.

Ok sounds like the wheels are turned right? put the key in and as you try to turn the key turn the wheel back and forth. If you hold pressure on the wheel right, then try left, your key should turn then it should free the wheel. My girl friend had the same thing happen to her and I had to go start it. Hope that helps

It will invlove getting into your front axle shafts. It's not that hard if you know what you're doing. I had to do it when I was replacing the front axles on my 99 cherokee. I have a Liberty and it has not done that but I do know that it's the same with every car. If you don't know what to do, just take it to a mechanic. A decent one will know how to fix it.
