What are the pros of buying a used 2007 Dodge charger r/t?

My dad is buying me a car and Im trying to convince him to get me a used dodge charger but he is concerned that the resale value is very low. So can anybody tell me some really good things about this car that i can tell my dad to get him to change his mind?

the charger is a nice choice for a used car but the resale value will be lower on it than it should be at this time,the prices of those is down a little bit over this time last year,the one thing he might be thinking about to on this car is the cost of the insurance on it for you,and the cost of maintenance,both are going to be kind of high,a for dependability their pretty good on that part,but they are high to insure,i doubt that anything we can say will probably change his mind,good luck with it,when i was young i asked for a new barracuda and got 65 mustang instead.

The resale value of a vehicle is not that important when buying a used vehicle. The worst depriciation happens in the first couple years. The car is already seen the worst. I wouldn't worry about it. Why is he worried about resale? Will he sell it on you if you don't behave?
