What Price Range Will I Be Looking At For A Dodge Ram Cummins?
I want to get a dodge ram with the cummins diesel. I also want to put the exhaust stacks on, maybe 5" or 6". I doubt I will be able to do it right now money wise since I am only a senior in high school, but eventually I do. I am just very fascinated with them. Plus I am a big guy, and cars just do not work for me. What kind of price ranges will I be looking for. Plus, is diesel fuel still economical compared to gasoline?

Don't buy a Dodge.
Buy a Honda or a Toyota... and I say that assuming you aren't one of those ignorant hicks who is "too embarrassed to be seen in an import." |

It depends on the year, mileage and condition. Bad times for truck sales make it a great time to get a deal for any pick-truck. But do you need one? I'm pretty sure the price of diesel is going to go up in the future. You'll be paying a lot to fill up your truck. Yes, diesels get better fuel mileage, but you won't make up for the extra $0.70 a gallon for fuel. I was once paying $150 just to fill up a tank for our company trucks with diesel fuel. That's too much for a high school student to be paying.

dodge cummins is the way to go!! they get 15-17 mpg without a load or with a load.
If you can find a older dodge with the cummins in it buy it. because there aren't alot out there. there is a reason for this. thy may be big but there reliable and will last for ever. As for fuel prices unlike gas diesel doesn't go up and down like gas. It is cheaper to refine then gas. right now in fargo,nd it is 2.70 and the highest I've seen it is in atlanta at 3.10. I have a '03 chevy 1 ton diesel that gets 23mpg but as soon as you put a load on it, it goes down to 5mpg. Content provided by Yahoo Answers. |
