How do i put my sepentine belt back on my 1997 chrysler town and country?
whenever it rains my Serpentine belt slips off a common occurrence in Chrysler vans before i payed my mechanic to fix it ut i don't have the money and i have fixed other things on it i just want to be ale to do it on my own from now on. can anyone help me.

ur belt stretched u can buy a spray that makes it stick, but it sounds like that wont work for u, buy a belt, then look in ur owners manual, but one of ur pullies moves so u can put the belt on, then once one is will tighten itself, I think they call it the tensioner. I had to do it once myself bc I had no other way and it wasnt bad at all. Goood luck, ull get it!!!!

Go to the library and look in a good auto replair manual like Chiltons. It will show you how to replace the belt and maybe figure out how to keep the problem from recurring.

there has been some update for that tsb# 070297 check with dealer something about replacing belt and tension er to fix problem . get a book on van buy some tool and put it on

look under the hood and there should be a diagram of the belt routing, if the belt has come off you need a new one as now it's stretched and will keep coming off, you probably need a new belt tensioner too.
