What will make my Dodge Dakota exhaust sound nice?

I'm looking for something under $200 that make make my 2001 v6 3.9l Dodge Dakota sound nice (exhaust). I dont want it to sound like a tuner car, but something along the line of a muscle car. Please help.

A V6 will always sound like a V6 no matter what you do. It will never have the nice sound of a V8. It will never sound like a muscle car.

This is because of the differences in engine desighn between a V6 and a V8, and there is nothing you can do to this engine to change this.

You could always throw on an aftermarket muffler. But it will sound like a loud 6 banger.

i dont think 200 will buy you a flowmaster exaust kit for the truck, but you could at least replace your current muffler with a flowmaster. but ive never owned a v6 nor put flowmasters on one

Cut out the Converter, and find a strait through muffler. If you live in a state that has yearly inspections, there's no legal way to do it without spending some money.

i bought a flow-master 40 series with chrome tip for $120 at a local muffler shop called american mufflers..and my v6 3.9L dodge ram sounds hella better and meaner than it used to.

ITs funny how other people dnt believe that you can get a performance muffler for under $200 because they cant face the fact they got ripped off by buying a $600 flow-master 40 at Midas.
Also, when this exact question comes up of making a v6 sound better theres will always be some SMArt*ss saying that that a v6 will never come close to soundin like a v8,.. Dumb*ss did he mention making his v6 sound like a v8? NO
