How do I test the wires to see if my computer is getting power 96 dodge dakota v6 3.9?
I dont think my computer is getting power in my truck and i ws wondering how to test it the wires and find out. I dont know what wire sends power to the computer or how to test it ok let me see the truck is a 96 dodge dakota it has a 3.9 v6 automatic

use a test light and see if the power is going in to the computer

96 and newer vehicles are equiped with obd II diagnostics just plug in a hand held code reader under the dash it will tell you the problem if it cant read the computer there is a problem with the computer you can pick up the code reader at autozone for under $100 or have it towed there and they will do it for free
