Your lease is not with Chrysler Corporation, it is either with Chrysler Financial or another finance company.
If Chrysler is sold, either Chrysler financial will be bought by another company, or it will continue as part of Chrysler. The bankruptcy would be a chapter 11 restructuring, not a liquidation. At the worst, you would send your payments to another address |

They'll have you exchange your car for an old jalopy, and you'll still be required to make the monthly payments. But only if your name is Chester. Is your name Chester?

If your lease is with Chrysler Financial, that is a whole different institution. Chrysler Corp is not a bank and even if they did go out of business, (which i doubt) you are still contracted to pay the lease you wont be able to get out of it. Look at your contract closely, you also agreed to have the note on your car sold to anyone without having to notify you. So one day Wellsfargo or Bof A or AIG or any bank can or may send you a notice stating they are the holder of your note and pink and you will make the payments to them. And Yes they can do that. Its done all the time and even on house mortgages

Ok if Chrysler-Jeep and Dodge file for bankruptcy they will just reorganize, the government will buy their pensions and they will reconstruct the company and start with a clean slate, just like all the car companies did back in the 1970's. Chrysler,GM, and ford are NOT going anywhere.

Nothing you'll notice. Service will get more annoying though. No matter what they say, there will be changes to dealership locations. Your dealer may or may not be affected. I think Chrysler is doomed. The idea that Fiat is the answer is hilarious. I know, that's not what you asked.
