I've been thinking about buying a Dodge Nitro?
Does anyone have any feedback for me on this car? I mean is it a good car?

Do some research on the Nitro at http://www.Edmunds.com And check out the review section on the vehicle. People don't pull punches when talking about their cars good points and bad.

Hope this helps. Good luck on your future purchase.

It's new and hasn't been tested by Consumer Reports yet. It's based on the Jeep Liberty. I wouldn't buy it as there are better choices out there. Most Dodge vehicles have less than satisfactory reliability ratings.

i own a repair shop, and the vehicle is new to the market right now,,so there's no real information to be given on it,,that's worth anything,,but don't let people tell you dodge,s are bad cars they aren't ,there actually real good cars,,but like i said its new,,and Edmund's reviews of it aren't worth reading,,this is just there opinion of the car,,they actually rate dodge,s at the bottom of the list ,good luck,i hope this help,s.

It's too new yet to say how good it is, wait until the vehicle is out for a year before buying one, never buy a vehicle the first year that it comes out, too many assembly problems and the parts they use the first year are untested

I have read several comparison tests, and I am not overly impressed:

-tupperware grade interior
-lousy mpg w/ 4.0 V6 - 3.7 V6 way under powered
-Chrysler reliability usually quite poor
-depreciation likely to be high

It does have some nice points:

-competitive price
-roomy
-unique looks
-decent ride/handling

It seems it has a good platform, and does all things competently. But Dodge missed the boat on the interior and given the poor reliability of other Dodge products, I would not buy a brand new product, give it a few years.

the nitro is nice car and all, a baby hummer 2 me, i myself own a SRT DODGE CHARGER *pepperdine* and love it... if you want something like the nitro i would possibly go with the f.j cruiser. ofcourse an actual hummer h3x would be better. but for the money, f.j cruiser would be a better buy then the nitro.
