No doubt about it the Dodge Caliber way better looking more sportier, more features and has a good reputation, on the other hand the focus's are known to break a lot and not last long at all cause they are built so cheaply. this is my opionion. Dodge over Ford Any day....

the best way is to consult the consumer hot line http://autos.yahoo.com/consumerreports/ read this and get the opinion and complaints about the cars.. this is the best way to find out ok.. but why dont you get a hybrid car you save money and they are fast..

Don't listen to any of the anectodal reasoning given by the others. People like to bash Ford or Dodge based on the ever popular "Well my dad once had an 86 taurus and the tranny went on it" or "I've heard every Dodge has electrical issues," etc. The fact of the matter is that both Ford and Daimler-Chrysler have increased the quality of their vehicles tremendously over the last decade. Regardless of which you choose, quality won't be an issue.

That being said, since each car is similarly priced and similarly equipped, which one do you think looks better? Have you test driven each of them? Which did you have more fun in? Since neither of the two have a deal-breaking advantage over the other, you should go with whichever you had more fun test driving.

Well this is a decision that you will have to make on your own. I dont personally know anything about the Caliber, as far as Specs., gas, etc. but I do have a 2008 Focus. I love it. It is actually the second Focus that I have owend, but the 2008 Style is much better than others. There of course were many other cars that I liked, but the Focus was in my price range and is doing great on gas. I get 30 MPG in the City and 40 on Highway. I now a days MPG is about that only thing that most people are looking at. Good Luck.

Ugh, if you MUST, get the Focus. The revamped model is worth a look but remains an American POS.

The Caliber is a hatch back it maybe more versatile than the Focus.
