Newer vehicale higher cost for new parts sounds about right, but if you went to a auto parts store & purchase the parts yourself you will save at being over charged for the same parts & only pay for high labor costs.
Buy the new pads & find a new place to install them for you & you will save $. |

If they're only replacing the pads, you're getting robbed. Budget Brakes will do pads and turn (machine smooth) your rotors so it will stop without vibration for $79 per axle, $150 for the whole car.
If the rotors are too thin to turn (with only 28k miles that's unlikely) add $20-$50 per rotor. If they have to replace the brake booster, or the ABS system, it can be a lot more expensive than they're asking. |

Wow, new brakes already? For $520 you can get all 4 brakes done, in my experience. Are they going to replace or turn down the rotors as well? Make sure you get semi metallic brakes put on.
