We have been looking for a SUV/Crossover vehicle with decent gas mileage. A few friends of ours have recommended the Hyundai Santa Fe and the Kia Sorento. Also, my husband likes the Ford Escape. We drove a dodge journey on vacation.

what do you recommend and why?

there are alot of options but there are a few cars that are big family vehicles then there are some big suvs and then there are small suvs. I would suggest the crossover range and maybe a few others. the ones i would suggest are the GMC acadia buick enclave chevy traverse they are all the same vehicle just different brands all made by gm. they get about 17/22 mpg. another vehicle that is more of an suv or even a truck is the 2010 4runner they are a good family car and if you have to haul anything its good for that also they get 18/22 mpg. the last vehicle i would recomend would be the honda pilot they are good family cars and they get about 17/23 mpg. try going to cars.com maybe there is one in your price range in your area.
