Should I get the Dodge Charger SE or the Dodge Caliber SXT?
Please I need help in making a decision! I keep going back and forth, and I just can't seem to make up my mind. Please do not suggest any other vehicles. I have already done my research, and it is between these two cars. Does anyone have either one of these? I am not getting the car new; I am getting a nice used one with under 20,000 miles on it. My maximum spending amount is around $21,000. Please help me!

Really depends on what your after... The Charger is certainly the bigger car. It's based on the Chrysler 300, which is a great car (I had one). It rides well, plenty of room, handles well, and is very safe. The Caliber is a lot smaller, but has the wagon-style hatch, in case you want to haul larger items. It's also lighter with a smaller wheel base, so it won't ride as smooth. Not sure what engines you're looking at, but my guess is gas mileage will be better with the Caliber.
I drove a Caliber and an Avenger. I'm 6'1" and the seats in the Caliber and Avenger seemed short to me and stiffer. Another thing to consider is the Charger is rear-wheel drive and the Caliber is front-wheel drive. If you live in a snow-prone area of the country, you'll do much better with the front wheel drive. All that said, I'd buy the Charger. It rides as well as my 300 did, it's reliable, and I like the styling. Hope that helps. Jack |

If you must buy a Dodge, buy a NEW Caliber, it'll be well within your 21K budget, and you'll have a lifetime powertrain warranty.
You should be able to get one for mid to upper teens, depending on equipment level You'll never have to worry about replacing the engine and/or transmission. EDIT - I'm aware that all Dodge's have the lifetime powertrain warranty, but I don't think you can get a new Charger out the door for 21K. If so, it would have to be the base model. |

the charger is just a better choice out of those two vehicles, both will come with a life time power train warranty ,if it were me id choose a charger any day over a caliber, better body styling on the charger, good luck.
